Visa exemption for tourists

On 1000 years of Thang Long – Hanoi Great Anniversary, Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism has submitted an official written to the Prime Minister proposed a visa fee waiver for international visitors to Vietnam to attend on the occasion of celebrating 1000 years of Thang Long – Hanoi.

To increase attracting more tourists to Vietnam, ensuring the stable development of Vietnam tourism and particularly in the context of organizing the 1000 anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi. On the basis of agreed comments the Ministry of Public Security and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism Prime Minister’s request for exemption from visa fees for international tourists to Vietnam in the period from October through December 2010.

Objects customers are exempt from visa fee to Vietnam as guests take tours of the international travel companies involved in The program stimulus Vietnam tourism in 2010 “Vietnam – your destination.”

Reportedly, in 2009, the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism has also proposed and been allowed by the government to coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Foreign Affairs to apply the procedures for exemption from visa fees for visitors under the Promotion, “Impressive Vietnam” from June through December 2009. Result, these policies have contributed to the tourism industry in the early recovery and achieve high growth in the first half of 2010.
